Marquee Dayclub Dome Open Every Saturday 2016-2017

A common lament of visitors to Las Vegas in late fall comes with the discovery that Las Vegas’ legendary pool parties are not a year-round affair.

While most casino swimming pools stay open all year long, the Las Vegas dayclub pool party scene — complete with big-name DJs, high-wattage light shows and bikini-clad throngs grooving between cabanas with high-priced bottle service — is closed from mid-October until spring.

The Marquee Dayclub Dome at The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas, however, keeps the party going by bringing the club indoors — or more accurately, bringing the indoors to the club, which otherwise is an outdoor party destination. This is the third year that the Dome has been in service.

The dome is semipermanent structure made of a glasslike fabric that weighs 106,000 pounds and covers nearly 30,000 square feet of pool area at The Cosmopolitan. It comes complete with a sprinkler system and other safety features made necessary by the disappearance of the Harmon Hotel next door, which changed relevant wind patterns. Temperatures inside can be maintained between 80 and 90 degrees.

In previous years, the indoor dayclub was open for just a few special dates. But this year the Marquee domed dayparty will be in full swing every Saturday through the winter, until pool season officially kicks off in March.

Moorea Pool Club at Mandalay Bay

Along with its “Toptional Beach”, this is one of the larger pools of the group, offering living rooms, 12ft “opium beds” at the center of the action, a 250sqft pavilion with a private pool, and third-floor Moorea Villas.

Daydream Pool at the M Resort

A hidden gem a few miles down the strip, DayDream offers up high energy DJs, pasties for the ladies who’re looking to cover up a little bit but would be MORTIFIED to be found wearing a bikini top, and very adult beer pong tables.

Lavo Champagne Brunch Returns to Las Vegas

As one door closes, another opens.

Summer pool season in Vegas is coming to an end. Looking to daydrink? Check out Lavo Champagne Brunch at the Palazzo. The party runs every Saturday from 2 to 6 PM. You can arrive earlier for the “brunch” portion – party starts at 2 PM.

As any good party should, each has a theme. The first week has a beach theme, followed by celebrating DJ Vice’s birthday on Oct. 15. Many themes are still TBA but this is what we know:

  • Dec 10 – Cowboy Brunch
  • Dec 24 – Xmas Brunch
  • Dec 31 – NYE Brunch

And a good party should have liquor, right? Marquee is an amazing 60,000 square foot club featuring a rooftop patio and a ultra pool-club. The rooftop patio provides you with a view of Las Vegas that you can’t find anywhere else. The outdoor pool area is great for socializing. You can step outside to meet new people, talk to your friends or get some fresh air. Marquee is one of the top clubs in Las Vegas, so don’t worry about who is playing that particular night. Marquee typically plays Electronic music, but they also offer a hip hop room called the ‘Boom Box,’ as well as ‘The Library’, which is a discreet VIP lounge. 3. Jewel at the Aria

Jewel is a new nightclub that opened in the spring of 2016. What can be better than going to a new nightclub on a Monday night? Not much else! Spanning more than 24,000 square feet and with a capacity up to 1,925, you are sure to be impressed. Jewel takes over the space formerly used by Haze. Jewel is a new and exclusive nightclub destination that features new technology, such as a pioneering production wall featuring dual-sided LED video screens and special effects lighting, that is capable of 360-degree movement. Expect to see music performances from the hottest artists and DJs in the world.  Music at Jewel is either EDM or hip hop depending on the DJ / artist spinning. 4. Bare Pool at The Mirage (Daytime pool party – only available during the summer)

Getting to Bare Pool at The Mirage feels like a journey through a jungle that leads to a secret hideaway. Once you arrive you’ll realize why. At Bare Pool women are allowed to be topless. If you want something different on your Monday, then this is the place to be. You’ll find two luxury dipping pools, a full service bar packed with ice cold drinks, poolside daybeds, six plasma screens, cabanas and chaise lounge chairs. Bare Pool has everything you need without the packed feeling. If you are searching for a place to lie down, relax, chill and talk to friends, then Bare Pool is a great option. Expect a relaxing environment with great background music. If you are looking to party hard, then you may want to hold off on those temptations until the night. Cleveland Cavaliers Stop at XS Nightclub for a Nightcap

When the Cavs hit the locker room last night to start celebrating winning the NBA championship, they had customized bottles of some fine champagne waiting for them.

Moet & Chandon produced hundreds of bottles of bubbly for the Cavs, each with an “OH” to commemorate Ohio and a map of the state, presumably to help find your way out. A few of the bottles even had this crystallized Cavs logo.

All told, there were 350 bottles worth $21,000 in the locker room, according to CBS Sports.

J.R. Smith was the MVP of the afterparty.

And how did the team use it? They sprayed it on themselves, on each other and, in the case of J.R. Smith, on bottle service hotties in Las Vegas, where the team stopped for one hell of a nightcap on the way home to Cleveland.

Watch the video above to see Smith have a spray-off with a bottle service beauty wearing what appears to be the world’s smallest Lebron jersey.

The celebration went into the wee hours of the night before they boarded a flight back to Cleveland.

Kesha Kicks off Mini Residency at Intrigue Nightclub in Vegas

#FreeKesha supporters will soon get to see Kesha back on stage.

Kesha is set to headline three nights at the Wynn Las Vegas’s Intrigue nightclub, where she will perform a collection of her greatest hits.

Tickets for the June 23, June 25 and July 23 concerts can be purchased here.

Kesha was last in Las Vegas for the Billboard Music Awards in May, where she earned a standing ovation for her moving tribute to Bob Dylan.

The ‘We R Who We R’ singer has only performed live sporadically over the last year, as she’s battled her former producer Dr Luke and Sony Music to be freed from her recording contract.

Earlier this year, Sony and Dr Luke allowed Kesha’s collaboration with Zedd on ‘True Colors’ to be released as a single.

However, the legal battle continues with a face-to-face deposition set for this month.

 

Avicii Cancels Remaining 2016 Vegas Shows

Breaking news – it appears that Avicii (Tim Bergling) has cancelled his remaining 2016 Las Vegas shows at Encore Beach Club and XS, citing “personal” reasons.

He’s been replaced by a variety of DJs in the XS residency roster. It doesn’t appear that the EBC and XS websites are updated yet – events on the Discotech app have been updated! Here are the replacements:
