Winter Pool Parties Continue at Marquee Dayclub Dome

Partying outside in winter has become a standard for Marquee at The Cosmopolitan as the Dayclub Dome continues its third season. The dome towers 50 feet above the dance floor and shields the entire 22,000 square-foot pool club from the elements. Moreover, the heating system ensures a dependable 80-90 degrees at all times, allowing Marquee Dayclub to book top talent all day, all year long.

Marquee’s Dayclub Dome is open from 11:30 a.m.-6 p.m. every Saturday till mid-March. Cover at the door is $45 for men and $25 for ladies (although that can change depending on who is performing); tickets purchased online at marqueelasvegas.com are sometimes cheaper in advance. You can get $5 off your tickets with Marquee promo code DISCO. The Weekend All Access wristband ($80 men, $30 ladies) grants unlimited entry to the Dome as well as Marquee Nightclub on Friday and Saturday. Upcoming talent includes Audien (Jan. 7), Vice (Jan. 14), TJR (Jan. 21), Shaun Frank (Jan. 28) and Jermaine Dupri (Feb 4). If you’re looking to include Marquee Dayclub in your Sunday Funday, Thomas Jack and Mike Attack will be under the Dome on January 15 and 22, respectively.

Following the success of the Dayclub Dome’s first-ever nighttime pool party on New Year’s Day, Marquee will host select holiday Sunday nighttime parties beginning Martin Luther King Jr. weekend, as well as daytime NFL viewing parties starting January 7 and leading up to the Super Bowl on February 5.

Looking further out, Marquee Dayclub Dome will once again host Insomniac Events’ Halfway to EDC party on an as-yet-unannounced date (it’s usually in February). This celebration of the summer’s largest dusk-till-dawn EDM festival has been known to offer the same creativity as the Insomniac party it honors. For example, last year, attendees were greeted by dancers in clown makeup and bright pink corsets, while other entertainers donned giant red and white butterfly wings. In addition to the colorful characters running about, extra LED screens are installed around and above the crowd.

This party also doesn’t skimp on musical talent; last year’s affair saw eight DJs on deck each day, including Jauz and Dash Berlin, representing several styles of EDM. Insomniac outdoes itself in its mission to reflect the same festival environment that fills the Las Vegas Motor Speedway at the end of June. For those who want to feel as if they’re front row at EDC’s Main Stage right now, this is your chance.

Book tables and sign up for guestlist for Marquee Dayclub directly on the free Discotech Mobile App. For information on other day clubs and pool parties, kindly visit the Las Vegas Pool Party Guest List.

Chainsmokers Signs Residency with XS, Encore Beach Club

If you ever want to see The Chainsmokers in a nightclub again, you’re going to have to head to Las Vegas.

The Chainsmokers have signed an exclusive three-year deal with Wynn Nightlife which guarantees its properties XS and Encore Beach Club will be the only night and dayclubs where the chart-topping, Grammy-nominated duo will perform live from now through 2019. In previous years the Chainsmokers were featured at Omnia and Hakkasan.

“We are so thrilled to have this residency at the Wynn,” the duo’s Alex Pall is quoted in a press release. “They represent the best of what Las Vegas nightclubs have to offer and we look forward to a great partnership.”

The “Closer” guys are no stranger to Las Vegas. In 2016’s Billboard cover story, the duo revealed its recent move to Los Angeles was partly inspired by a need to be closer to Sin City. So far, 10 dates have been announced with the kick-off at XS Friday, Jan. 6, with dates running until Friday, May 12, 2017.

“We’re excited to welcome The Chainsmokers to XS and Encore Beach Club,” Wynn Nightlife Executive Vice President and Managing Partner Alex Cordova says. “Partnering with such talented and sought-after artists exemplifies Wynn Nightlife’s commitment to bringing world-class entertainment to our luxury venues.”

No More Free Parking At 8 Las Vegas Casinos

Like the drinks you get while gambling, casino parking in Las Vegas is often a “freebie.” But if you’re planning a trip to Vegas soon, be prepared to possibly pay for parking or driving around to find a free garage to dock your ride, as first reported on Consumerist.

Caesars Entertainment Corp. announced Tuesday that it’s putting an end to free parking at eight of its nine properties in Sin City in favor of a paid valet and self-parking initiative. The changes will roll out in December, though implementation dates will vary by location.

Every property besides the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino will now charge for parking: Linq and Harrah’s will start charging for valet services next month and charge for self-parking at a later date when new equipment is installed. Caesars Palace, The Cromwell, Paris, Planet Hollywood, Bally’s, and the Flamingo will implement the new policy in 2017.

Guests have reported that parking is scarce at its casinos, Caesars said, with the exception of the Rio, which has a bigger parking area and hasn’t had any crowding problems.

“We believe that implementing a paid parking program while also investing in LED parking guidance systems will help address these issues,” said Bob Morse, President of Hospitality at Caesars Entertainment, in a statement.

If you’re a local resident with proper ID or a Total Rewards loyalty member with Platinum status or higher, you can still self-park for free. Platinum and above rewards members can also get complimentary valet services. For more information on pricing at each property, check out Caesars’ parking page.

Caesars isn’t the first Las Vegas biggie to change its parking policy recently: MGM International announced its own paid parking program earlier this year, starting in June. That may have led MGM guests to seek free parking at Caesars properties.

Look on the bright side, you can still get on free guestlists with Discotech.

Cheap Las Vegas Bachelorette (Hen) Parties on a Budget

Planning a cheap bachelorette in Las Vegas for your bestie? You’re in luck! Vegas is one of the best cities to throw the bride-to-be an epic party without breaking the bank. Here are 6 tips and tricks to keep the costs low and the fun levels high throughout the festivities:

1. Plan your travel early for your budget bachelorette

Plan your budget bachelorette at least 3-4 months in advance so your group can save on flight deals and hotels. Vegas’s hotel market is very competitive, which means many of them offer excellent amenities at a great price. Staying at a hotel on the Strip also reduces transportation costs, especially if you choose to walk. Also, some hotels, like the Palazzo, have suites that could fit 6 people. This can be more economical than getting 2 rooms if you don’t mind squeezing. Alternatively, if you have a larger group that wants to stay in the same house….

2. Consider vacation rentals instead of hotels

Depending on the size of your budget bachelorette, it may be cheaper to book a condo or house through AirBnb or VRBO instead of getting a hotel. Most likely, you can find an upscale rental for a per-person price that’s more affordable than many hotels. If you choose to go this route, it may also be cheaper to book a shuttle instead of relying on multiple Ubers to go back and forth from the Strip.

3. Take advantage of free activities

You don’t have to bet money at the casinos or buy $$$ tickets to shows to have a good time in Vegas since there are plenty of free activities as well! Vegas features warm weather most of the year, which means you can spend time outdoors by the pool, people-watching on the Strip, or even hiking in the nearby Red Rocks Canyon. Other free Las Vegas activities include watching the Bellagio Fountains, the Mirage volcano eruption, taking in the sights and smells at the Bellagio Conservatory and Botanical Gardens, and checking out the wildlife at the Flamingo. You can also play bachelorette party games, which are a fun way to celebrate the bride-to-be without going out. Chances are, the other bachelorette guests will appreciate a chill daytime activity before a big night out.

4. Sign-up for free guestlists at dayclubs and nightclubs

This is key! As an entourage of all-ladies, you’re going to have a big advantage getting into the hottest clubs in Vegas at little-to-no cost. While getting bottle service in Las Vegas is fun, signing up for the free guest lists is a lot easier on the wallet. Your group will be able to get in free to many clubs (night or day clubs in Vegas), and maybe even snag complimentary drinks depending on the venue, time of year, and headlining DJ. Many clubs will offer cheaper bottle service packages for groups of girls. Use the Discotech app to look up events, compare prices, sign up for guestlists, buy tickets, and reserve tables. Keep in mind that for almost all free Las Vegas guestlists, you’ll need to be at the door by a certain cut-off time, usually by 11:30pm for nightclubs. If your group prefers hip hop music, you can also head over to one of Las Vegas’ world class hip hop night clubs. Lines in Vegas for popular clubs can be long, so you should arrive at the club earlier to have ample time to get in. If you know you might have a hard time getting your group moving, we recommend buying tickets, which are good for admission all night.

5. Pregame

Drinks in Las Vegas add up, especially at the club, where your average cocktail runs $12+. To help cut costs for your budget bachelorette party, pick up drinks beforehand to pregame. Alternatively, use an alcohol delivery app to have it sent straight to your door! This way, you’ll have a nice buzz going the moment you step inside the party and save money to boot.

6. Be social!

Remember, everyone is in Vegas to have a fantastic time. Chances are, there are a couple of stag parties out and about hoping to meet a group of lovely ladies to treat to drinks and entertain. Don’t be shy! Hey, it doesn’t hurt your wallet either.

These 6 tips and tricks should help you plan the best budget bachelorette for your lucky gal pal. Who knew having fun in Sin City could be this affordable?
