Since its debut edition, Art Of The Wild has become one of the premier weekends for the sound of house and techno in Sin City. Hosted at Wynn Las Vegas‘ XS and Encore Beach Club, past years have been filled to the brim with top-tier artists and plenty of stunning production elements to add to the immersion. Now, as the nightlife in Las Vegas continues to rise from the dust of last year’s cancellations, the underground-sound-fueled weekend has announced its return.
On July 23-25, Art Of The Wild will reemerge with a lineup of talented DJs and producers along with a stunning list of curators who will be helping everyone celebrate in style. Creators including Animale, elrow, Framework, Rumors, and Wild Is Love look to concoct some stunning experiences for those in attendance, and they’re bringing along a hefty list of artists as well.
While the showcases themselves have yet to be announced, the names that grace this edition’s lineup are effectively the whose who of the house, techno, and indie dance scene. Rüfüs Du Sol, Gorgon City, Michael Bibi, Dixon, Claptone, and Damian Lazarus stand out immediately, but that’s not even half the list. Others like, Seth Troxler, Guy Gerber, Bob Moses, Yotto, and Tale Of Us are also included as well.
Considering his meteoric rise to fame, it would be easy to stereotype Black Coffee as just another black diamond, a BEE beat magnet out to mine the insatiable upwardly mobile urban house party market. But as he proved on his South African Music Award-winning album “Home Brewed”, this DJ and producer defies convention. Sidestepping Afro-house clichés and stage-managed highs in favour of restrained sophistication, Black Coffee’s penchant is for true Afropolitan house: home-brewed but fresh and future-focused. Expect almost sculptural balance and beauty.
If one heard a clamour and ululating emanating from the eastern provinces of South Africa, KwaZulu Natal and the Eastern Cape, announcing the recognition of a cultural phenomenon.. and their role in the development of this cultural phenomenon.. one could not argue were that clamour and ululating to be in respect of one.. that is the soul, spirit, talent and vision of Nkosinathi Innocent Maphumulo, one better known as “Black Coffee”.

CamelPhat is a British DJ and production duo, consisting of Dave Whelan and Mike Di Scala, formed in Liverpool in 2004. Dave Whelan and Mike Di Scala met each other in Liverpool record shop 3 Beat Records and were both disc jockeys at nightclubs in the city. Di Scala had previously released music as a member of Rezonance Q and Ultrabeat and also as a solo artist. Dave Whelan hosted his own Jubilee club night since 2004 and the two were resident DJs at Society nightclub. They began producing music together as members of The Chosen Few, along with Les Calvert, and the trio also managed the Adhesive record label as a sublabel of All Around the World.
In 2010, they released their first recordings as CamelPhat on their own label Vice Records. As CamelPhat, the duo initially wore wrestling masks to conceal their identity because they “just wanted the people to judge the music and not us”. In 2011, Dave Whelan and Mike Di Scala became owners of a Liverpool nightclub Mansion. The duo released numerous singles and EPs on various record labels and some CamelPhat songs appeared on the Ultratop charts in Belgium, such as “The Act” (Spinnin’ Deep, 2014), “Paradigm” featuring AME (Axtone, 2015), “Constellations” (Spinnin’ Deep, 2015), “Make ‘Em Dance” from Light Night EP (Suara, 2016) and “Hangin’ Out with Charlie” from Hangin’ with Charlie EP (Suara, 2017).

As a performer, Gerber has been consistently rated one of the best acts in dance music, topping as a top 10 performer for the last three years on Resident Advisor. When DJing, he is noted for his extended sets such as a 12-hour performance at Burning Man in 2014. Gerber’s 2013 Wisdom of the glove residency at Pacha caught the New York Times’ attention. 12 months later, he went ahead with a clandestine free Ibiza beach party he called, Rumors. On top of his performances, Gerber had helped curate and A&R many underground music talents. His label, Supplement Facts, hosted artists from Chaim, to dOP, Guti and Kate Simko. However, as it was reaching its apex, Gerber put this project on hold to launch a new imprint Rumors. The new project was launched with Gerber’s collaboration with Dixon, “No Distance”, as well as a crossover album with Puff Daddy, ’11:11′, which was one of 2014’s most critically acclaimed LPs.

Henry Alfred Steinway (born February 8, 1991), better known by his stage name RL Grime, (previously known as Clockwork) is an American record producer and DJ. RL Grime specializes in trap and bass music and is member of the Los Angeles electronic music collective WeDidIt. His debut Grapes EP was released in April 2012 on WeDidIt. His follow-up EP High Beams was released in July 2013 on Fool’s Gold Records, which debuted at No. 8 on Billboard’s Dance/Electronic Albums chart, and No. 1 on the iTunes Electronic Chart. RL Grime has produced remixes for Benny Benassi, Chief Keef, Jamie Lidell, and Shlohmo. His second studio album, Nova, was released in 2018.
On May 30, 2017, RL Grime announced his second studio album, Nova. The album was released on July 27, 2018 through WeDidIt Records, and featured collaborations with Miguel, Julia Michaels, Chief Keef, Ty Dolla Sign, 24HRS and Joji. The album’s lead single, “I Wanna Know”, was released on March 16, 2018, followed by “Undo” on June 13, 2018, and “Pressure” on July 11, 2018. Commenting on the album’s concept, Henry stated: “NOVA’ came from obsessive ideation on growth and on transition. The art and stories and the moments that inspired me through this record tend to explore this as well. The feeling of leaving behind what was, and of welcoming the foreign. Throughout the process, I had this vision of a ‘nova’ or of a star no bigger than a person launching from earth into outer space and expanding endlessly until its light was all that we could see. That’s the feeling I get from these records, infinite light.” The album’s last single, “Light Me Up”, which featured the vocals of Miguel and Julia Michaels, was released on July 25, 2018.
