For those that don’t know, the Meatpacking District in New York has become of the hot new, emerging centers for art, music and partying not only in NY but also in the United States. Electric Room
The Electric Room is hidden on the lower level of Dream Downtown. The private room holds roughly 100 people and features a complete bar servicing high-end drinks and custom cocktails. The room has a separate cool feel with sofas featuring the Union Jack Flag.
Specialty back-painted antique mirrors by artist Chris Stain decorate the banquette wall, as well as artwork by Sante D’Orazio and Marilyn Minter. Bottle service is availible for booking, as are ticketing and Guest List options, all availible here, through Discotech.
Tao Downtown
Nestled away within the beauty of Tao Downtown’s restaurant is a secret treasure, the “in the know” oasis called Tao Downtown Nightclub. Separate from the restaurant, the 2500 sq foot drinks-only lounge has kept a low-key profile attracting VIPS and celebrities for late night/wee-hour cocktails, music and dancing.
A lot of people aren’t even aware that there’s a nightclub below, as it is tucked away in the corner of the huge Tao complex, away from the dining area. The club is placed one stair down and where it is so intimate and dark, it feels like a speak-easy. The Tippler
The Tippler is a classic New York cocktail destination snuggled in the cellar space beneath the Chelsea Market. The light of the “OPEN” marquee at 425 W 15th Street guides the way underground to a bar immersed in NYC history.
With its water tower wood and train rails from the nearby High Line, antique fixtures, excellent library decor and unique speakeasy atmosphere, The Tippler showcase innovative craft cocktails and locally made products, while happily serving a wide selection of spirits, beers, and wines.

Cubbyhole
Cubbyhole has been talked about as the perfect addition to the perfect Greenwich Village scene, cobblestone streets, found in the heart of the village. Clubbyhole always been known to be an easy-going, friendly crowd with great bartenders that know your name, know your drink and always have a smile.
Many have said its the only bar in New York where gay men and women feel equally comfortable and welcome. What’s amazing is that this bar is not concerned with being an exclusively gay or lesbian bar. People who aren’t into labels or people who identify as LGBT will feel comfortable as well. Welcome to 1Oak. After moving passed a coat-check anteroom, patrons find themselves in an open room with a roof of raw oak slats and a zigzagging black-and-white floor. The room is split by a center bar serving out $20 mixed drinks, and, in one corner, a VIP-type area with a roaring fireplace and giant artwork by Roy Nachum.
Past that area is an outdoor smoking lounge somewhat enclosed by mirrored walls. In the front of the room, you see a D.J. stage outfitted with what looks and feels like a very expensive sound system and in the back, risers for those content sitting without silver Dom Pérignon buckets in front of them. The LAVO

PH-D
Fo those who have spent years absorbing life lessons from “Entourage,” PH-D is Xanadu: a glittering room full of celebrities, beautiful women and cresting credit-card bills. The nightclub, which opened in June on the roof of the Dream Downtown hotel, is the latest from the impresarios behind Marquee, Tao and other successful playgrounds for the well heeled.
The crowd is a testament to the timeless compatibility of wealth and attractiveness. PH-D is filled of men in business-casual attire and women who rarely spend weekdays in an office. Like tipsy flamingos, models weave around the room and dance on couches. At a recent one of the popular Tuesday night parties, a few craned over Wilmer Valderrama, an actor from “That ’70s Show,” who shared bottles of vodka with fellow patrons and rapped along with Jay-Z records. Later that week, Edward Norton and Woody Harrelson stopped in, perhaps reminiscing about “The People vs. Larry Flynt.”
Getting inside PH-D is no easy feat. With a max capacity of 400, table reservations are your best bet. Everyone else is left to the mercy of the doorman after 9:30 p.m. The emphasis is on table service, but more-frugal customers can lurk at the bar. Thriftiness is relative as specialty cocktails are priced $18, and with tax and tip automatically added to the bill, a Jameson on the rocks quickly surpasses $21. 1OAK
After passing through an anteroom, 1Oak patrons find themselves in an expansive room with a ceiling of raw oak slats and a zigzagging black-and-white floor that sets an El Morocco tone. The room is divided by a central black lacquered bar doling out $20 mixed drinks, surrounded by a VIP-type area with VIP tables, a roaring fireplace and giant artwork by Roy Nachum of a nude flanked by buffalo.
Beyond that area is an outdoor smoking lounge partially enclosed by mirrored walls. Ostrich-leather banquettes line underlit brick walls covered by metallic gold curtains, offsetting a bizarre centerpiece—another large artwork of a young blindfolded boy with two horses. In the front of the room there is a DJ podium outfitted with what looks and sounds like a very pricey sound system and in the back, risers for those happy to sit without silver Dom Pérignon buckets in front of them. Webster Hall
Those who know Webster Hall solely as the roomy host to ascendant indie-acts and faded legends alike will be surprised to hear that the faux-marbled space doubles as a real-life night club featuring cover-charged theme parties and big-name DJ sets. The four-story, 40,000 square foot space includes a main stage is lined with balcony space on either end, as well as a few amenities and extras which include an underground coat check, a large back-area bar, the 600-capacity Marlin Room, and the Studio at Webster Hall, a smaller venue-within-a-venue with an intimate atmosphere.
Attendees are usually too entranced by the spinning stage lights and gothic chandeliers to notice the multi-culti hieroglyphic hode-podge lining the venue’s wall; the upstairs unisex bathroom – complete with checkered, hop-style design and blackboard walls and chalk sticks on string to encourage scrawled musings from stall occupants – is harder to ignore. Famed nightclub 1 OAK (One of a Kind) is breaking ground in Tokyo, as they have launched their first exclusive nightlife experience in Asia. 1 OAK has been delivering star-studded events and world-class entertainment at its three story-high venue since its grand opening last year. Located at the base of Roppongi Hills, 1OAK Tokyo features multiple VIP areas, a private karaoke room, and a rooftop garden terrace with breathtaking views.

1 OAK Nightclub Grand Opening in Dubai
Another super club is now open in Dubai, and this one is well worth checking out…
Get ready Dubai, as yet another celebrity favourite and US export 1 OAK has opened its doors. The super club joins the ranks of Soho Beach and Drai’s Dubai as the latest luxury haunt adding to Dubai’s nightlife scene, and we’ve had a first look inside.

Born out of the namesake ‘One Of A Kind’, the super club is set to open four times a week at its JW Marriott Marquis home.
Entering the venue feels like you’re heading to a secret party, or following Alice down the rabbit hole to a trendy wonderland that only a handful of people have been invited to. It’s a narrow tunnel entrance, with writing penned across the walls and a monochrome print floor that feels like it goes on forever.
A mirrored VIP area is dimly lit with red hues and decked out with avant-garde art installations that are part nightclub, part trendy exhibition.
On the night we visit, the main club area quickly packs out with revelers. It’s a hip hop and urban music policy, with a collection of tables all around the edge, and a DJ booth that looks out over a small but well-populated dance floor.
It’s the first permanent venue for the super club in the UAE, although the brand has hosted several pop-ups during the Abu Dhabi Grand Prix.
1OAK is open on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 10pm to 3am, with weekly events to be announced soon.
