Hyde Bellagio Nightclub Closing July 6

MGM Resorts International announced today that Hyde Bellagio, the 12,000-square-foot indoor and outdoor nightclub and lounge known for its views of the Bellagio fountains, will close after service on July 6 to be replaced by a new concept this winter.

An MGM spokesperson could not confirm whether the new concept will be a nightlife venue.

Hyde has won the Las Vegas Weekly Best of Vegas Readers’ Choice Award for Best Lounge for the past two years and is also known for its industry night and XIV Session parties. Opened in 2011 in the former Fontana Bar lounge space, Hyde was the first nightlife venture in Las Vegas for SBE Entertainment, which had previously purchased the Sahara hotel and casino in 2007. Established in 2002 by Sam Nazarian, the company famously rebranded the classic Las Vegas Strip resort as SLS in 2014, a property now owned by the Meruelo Group. In addition to Hyde Bellagio, SBE currently manages Hyde Lounge at T-Mobile Arena and three restaurants (Citizens, Kumi and Red Square) at Mandalay Bay.

The closure of Hyde will leave Bellagio without a proper nightclub as the Bank closed in June after a decade-long run. That night spot was originally known as Light Nightclub from 2001 to 2007, a brand that re-opened at Mandalay Bay in 2013.

The Bank at Bellagio Closes in June

Say so long to The Bank Nightclub. The club at the Bellagio closes its doors on June 3 after nearly an 11-year run in Las Vegas.

The swanky club decked out in black and gold originally opened in December 2007 with an entrance looking down on the glass-encased dance floor at the bottom and tiered VIP booths ringing the 11,170-square-foot space.

Over the years, The Bank Nightclub hosted a number of celebrity DJs, including most recently reality television personality Brody Jenner. Celebrity guests over the years included Jaime Foxx, Bruno Mars, Jason Derulo, Iggy Azalea, and Chris Brown.

The space originally featured Light Nightclub, at the time a rival for Studio 54 at the MGM Grand when Light opened in 2001.

MGM Resorts did not announce a replacement for the nightclub. Hyde and Lily Lounge remain nightlife options open at the resort.
