Yesterday we posted about Insomniac taking over Omnia SD and reopening the megaclub as NOVA. Today the grand opening date was announced and the first month’s lineup was released – and it’s filled with heavy hitters!

Deadmau5 Returns to Red Rocks Amphitheatre

deadmau5 returns to Red Rocks this year for his annual Day of the deadmau5 celebration.

Over November 4 & 5, the master producer will take over the iconic venue, treating fans to an extended deadmau5 set on night one and both deadmau5 and TESTPILOT sets on night two. Hosted by mau5trap and hau5trap, the event marks deadmau5’s first return to Red Rocks since 2019. Tickets available here:

deadmau5 also has a Day of the Deadmau5 run planned at various venues in Miami over October 28 – 31. The festivities include a deadmau5 haunted headline live show, deadmau5 unplugged, a TESTPILOT set, mau5trap showcase and a “Pomegranate” themed pool party.

Day of the Deadmau5 in Miami on Halloween

As we inch closer to safely hosted, live events making a full return, you can almost feel the excitement in the air. And what better way to welcome the scene back than by attending the massive Day of the deadmau5 in Miami during Halloween weekend? Fans have a lot to look forward to on October 28 – 31 as this experience is sure to provide enough thrills for all who choose to attend.

Kicking things off on Thursday, October 28 is sure to be massive ‘Are You Not Afraid?’ Welcome Party featuring the mau5’s techno alter ego TESTPILOT and a lineup jam-packed with special guests. Friday, October 29 will take the experience to the next level with an optional There Might Be Coffee’ Party Brunch, a deadmau5 Pop-Up Shop for all your merch needs. On the music front, mau5trap Records will showcase some of the label’s brightest talent, and deadmau5 himself will be rocking an unplugged sunset set. Hopefully, there will be a sampling of some of his favorite tracks from other producers along with classic deadmau5 sounds as a nice treat.

Day of the deadmau5 crescendos on Saturday, October 30 as the Pomegranate Pool Party kick starts the afternoon. What is sure to be one of the best events of the weekend, a lineup of top-tier talent hand-picked by deadmau5 himself will permeate the air. Later that evening, deadmau5 delivers the main event with his mind-blowing live show to truly cap off the spooktacular celebration all weekend long. October can’t come soon enough!

2019’s “Day Of The Deadmau5” was hosted at the Red Rocks Amphitheatre and featured support from the late i_o, Lights, Getter, and Callie Reiff. The sets he throws down on Halloween are always special and add to the fan-favorite “day of the deadmau5” mix series. 

deadmau5 is currently gearing up for the debut of his highly-anticipated collaboration with REZZ. He also just shared a preview of a massive unreleased electro track that we are convinced features longtime collaborator Lights. There’s no doubt these tracks will get the live performance they deserve over Halloween 2021!

Joel Thomas Zimmerman born January 5, 1981, known professionally as Deadmau5 (stylized as deadmau5; pronounced “dead mouse”), is a Canadian electronic music producer, DJ, and musician. Zimmerman mainly produces progressive house music and sometimes other forms of electronic music. His works have been included in compilation albums such as Tiësto‘s In Search of Sunrise 6: Ibiza and presented on Armin van Buuren‘s A State of Trance radio show.

Zimmerman has received six Grammy Award nominations for his work. He has worked with other DJs and producers, such as Kaskade, MC Flipside, Rob Swire and Wolfgang Gartner. He has also collaborated with Steve Duda under the group name BSOD (Better Sounding On Drugs), and was part of the group named WTF? with Duda, Tommy Lee, and DJ Aero. In 2007, he founded his own record label, Mau5trap. Deadmau5 is currently one of the highest paid electronic music producers in the world, and is a masked music artist similar to Marshmello and Daft Punk.

Tour deadmau5’s $5 Million Canadian Mansion

During Deadmau5’s live chat on live.deadmau5.com, Joel Zimmerman “deadmau5” announced that he has purchased a brand new house in Canada. The news of his new house comes comes just a few days after Deadmau5 announced he was purchasing a $1.15 million McLaren P1.

Deadmau5’s new house is a magnificent $5 million country estate in Campbellville, Ontario. The 14,000 square foot estate is located on 118 acres and comes equipped with 4.1 bedrooms, 5.1 baths, a home theatre, a gourmet chef kitchen, 6 fireplaces and a professionally landscaped salt water pool.

Deadmau5 recently opened up his Canadian home for an in-depth tour, and now the web is free to explore the producer’s trove of gear and technological gadgetry.

 

 

Shot by Linus Tech Tips, the 10-minute video commences within Deadmau5’s (still-to-be-completed) studio space. Three years into the process, the space is literally floating on air. To preserve the aesthetic of the room and enhance acoustics, Deamau5 has chosen to suspend the room from a past vaulted ceiling. Equipped with nine custom-made speakers, and a secretive “black box”, to produce a perfect 3D working space, the studio is one of the few Dolby Atmos mix studios outside of Dolby itself.

As the video further details, two walls are lined by analog modular synths while a coveted collection of keyboard synthesizers, including a Juno-106, Jupiter-8 and Prophet-10, further fill the room. Deadmau5’s Neve Analog Console, worth nearly $500,000 (US) alone, commands the interior of the space.

The video continues with clips from the remainder of Deadmau5’s “modern day mansion”, which was obviously decorated by a multi-millionaire with an epic fondness for gaming.
