Location
Spin San Diego is located at 2028 Hancock St
Nights Open
10 PM – 4 AM Friday + Saturday
Established in 2009, Spin is a huge 10,000 square foot, 3-level club that prides itself on giving you the ultimate night out.
In addition to some of the best light and sound systems in the area, they have two dance floors, kinetic lighting and lasers, and an open air roof deck with views of the city. The VIP area features trendy décor and seating with plenty of couches and ottomans.
Unlike many other nightclubs in San Diego, Spin is open for after hours as is their kitchen, so if you’re hungry until 6am and are fighting with yourself deciding between dancing and eating, you can do both in one stylish spot. While many past guests rave about the food, they state that the drinks have a tendency to be weak and overpriced.
While Spin hosts some of the best local DJs, they’ve also featured some of the biggest names in EDM including David Guetta, Kaskade, Chris Cox, and Paul Oakenfold. There’s a cover for regular nights, but if you get yourself on a guest list you may be able to get away without paying. Past guests have commented on the kindness of staff, even the bouncers.
- Spin is a more casual electronic dance venue in San Diego.
- Spin closes at 4 AM so it’s a great after hours spot.
- Security here is very thorough.
- Large dance floor – this club was made for dancing. You’ll find that most people at Spin are there for the music.
- There’s a rooftop area with a fire pit where you can take a break.
- Spin does have some VIP tables in the back but it’s not really a bottle service type of venue.
