Hip Hop and Rap Concerts You Need to See in 2021
(As of 1/20/2021) Although the nightlife scene has been MIA over the past several months, it looks like the pieces are starting to fall into place in 2021. We have found several artists who intend to perform this year in venues that stretch across the entire world! Below you will find a list of Hip Hop and Rap concerts that are scheduled to happen in 2021, divided up by each music artist and their subsequent performance dates. But please be advised that these are the shows that have been announced as of January. It is likely that many more performances will be added as the year progresses, but for now, check out the list below and see if any Hip Hop or Rap concerts and festivals are happening near you!
1. A$AP Rocky

ASAP Rocky entered the Rap scene in 2013 at the release of his first-ever album, “Long.Liv.A$AP.” Five years later, the artist released another album that featured famous rappers Kid Kudi and French Montana, a true testament to how successful he was within that time frame. His popularity continues to expand in present day so if you’re looking to see A$AP in concert check out some of his ticket listings here. He will be performing at eleven venues this year:

2. Doja Cat

While Doja Cat has been making music since 2014, it was not until 2020 that she shook the music industry up with her chart topping smash hit, “Say So.” Since then, many of her songs have been used on Tik Tok, providing endless dance-filled content for fans of all ages. 3. Lil Uzi Vert

North Philadelphia born and raised, Lil Uzi Vert came to fame in 2014 when he released his first song, “Dej Loaf.” His music career skyrocketed in 2017 upon his collaboration with Migos, which released the song, “Bad & Boujee,” quickly gaining traction in the music industry and hitting number one on the charts. This year, the artist will perform at three venues:

- July 7th: Openair Frauenfeld in Frauenfeld, Switzerland

4. Fetty Wap

An artist who burst onto the music scene with his famous 2015 single, “Trap Queen,” Fetty Wap has released four albums since, partnering up with Cheat Codes and 6ix9ine for a few of his songs. He released two of his four albums in 2020, so his performances this year will include many of his new songs which you can listen to at these two performances:

5. Kehlani

Kehlani was discovered on SoundCloud by Nick Cannon in 2013, who ended up mentoring the artist and guiding her on her path to stardom. She has caught the attention of many popular artists like Justin Bieber, who has asked her to be an opener for a few of his shows on tour. 6. Kendrick Lamar

Originally known as K-Dot, Kendrick Lamar began to get noticed in the late 2000s. His first label album, “Good Kid, M.A.A.D. City” was made in 2012 and propelled him into a career of success. He eventually won two ‘Best Rap Album’ Grammys for some of his earlier work, and an additional Pulitzer Prize for his album, DAMN. Lamar will be performing at four venues this year:

- July 2nd: Lollapalooza Stockholm in Stockholm, Sweden

7. Lizzo

While Lizzo is recognized for her hit songs like, “Truth Hurts,” the singer is also given accolades for her unabashed flute performances and her advocacy of body positivity. She has been in the music industry since 2013, and has steadily risen to fame since then. Lizzo will perform at two festivals this year:
- August 6th-8th: Outside Lands in San Francisco, California USA
- September 2nd-5th: Bonnaroo Music Festival in Manchester, Tennessee USA
8. Macklemore

In 2012, Macklemore and his partner Ryan Lewis created the songs “Thrift Shop” and “Can’t Hold Us,” granting them 4 Grammys, including the Best New Artist Award. Since then Mackelmore has performed worldwide, wowing fans with his creative lyrics. So far, Macklemore is performing at three venues this year:

- July 20th: Pendleton Whiskey Music Festival in Pendleton, Oregon USA
- September 24th Puyallup Fairgrounds solo performance in Puyallup, Washington USA
9. Megan Thee Stallion

Born and raised in Texas, this female rapper started her music career in 2016 upon the release of her first single, “Like a Stallion.” She has since then partnered with fellow famous female music artists such as Beyonce, to create content that is celebrated worldwide. This year Megan thee Stallion is scheduled to perform at three festivals:

- June 17th: Bonnaroo Music and Arts Festival in Manchester, Tennessee USA
- June 26th: Roskilde Festival in Roskilde, Denmark
10. Post Malone

Post Malone hit the music scene by storm when he released “White Iverson” in 2015. Soon after that he signed a record deal with Republic Records, and has continued to excite audiences with his music ever since. So far, Post Malone is performing in four shows this year:

11. Rico Nasty
Rico Nasty initially found her passion for rapping in her hometown city of New York, eventually turning it into a career that would take her across the globe. Her song, “Hey Arnold” was picked up by Lil Yachty for a remix, which propelled her into fame even further and gave her much more musical recognition. 12. Tyler the Creator

Tyler the Creator discovered his love for music as a teenager, dropping his first mixtape in 2009 at the age of 16. Eight years later his album, Flower Boy, won Best Rap Album which earned him high praise and accolades from his musical peers. This year, Tyler the Creator is scheduled to perform at ten venues:

13. Young Thug

Young Thug’s music career began in 2011 when he released his first mixtape, “I Came From Nothing.” Rapper Gucci Mane discovered it and quickly reached out to Young Thug to create another mixtape under his guidance.
